The Dis n Dat Band was initially formed by the core husband/wife team of ex-Black Uhuru drummer, Rango and award-winning steel pan player/singer Sista D.  Filled out by guitarist Laurie Goldsmith, the thick slabs of bass laid down by Felix Fantasia, keyboardist Charleston Sarjeant who is also Sista D’s son.  The Band is known for their unique, cross-genre performances that can excite any audience.  The Dis n Dat Band introduces a new style of reggae they like to call Neo-reggae which they incorporate dancehall reggae, hip hop, roots reggae, and r&b into their own brand of reggae music. 

Dis n Dat band is currently nominated as “best reggae band” for the Joe Higgs Music Awards and Sista D is nominated for “most inspirational artist”.  Band drummer, Rango, can be heard playing on classics like Tenor Saw's, "Fever" or Half Pint's, "You Got to be Crazy." Sista D as an accomplished producer, she can be found on production for r&b legends like Tavares & Bobby Brown.  As a steel panist, she has won the steel pan competition (panorama) for 6 years in a row.  In the Summer of 2007, band has toured the U.S. with reggae legend Pato Banton.
